Job tasks  

 

Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows , Mac and any other authorized desktop software/

applications

Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot End User Workspace Hardware such as Desktop , Laptops ,

Printers, Mobile Devices, Video and Conferencing Equipment and any other authorized peripheral

equipment and devices

Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on devices and software

To follow and execute instructions provided by Subject Matter Experts

Provide onsite hand and eye support to TCS / Customer / OEM SME’s towards Install, upgrade, support and

troubleshooting of devices in Network and Compute environment

To assist users with any logged IT related incident when called upon

To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes

with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support

teams where necessary

To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system

To maintain a first class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in

an appropriate manner

Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical

and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization

To be a highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities

To create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist all End Users with the

quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient

Be willing to attend training as necessary to keep up to date with the latest technology and internal system

processes

To attend training courses as identified and agreed for appropriate development

To contribute towards reporting as per TCS / customer requirement

Any other tasks as assigned and within the skillset of the person

 

Required skills  

 

 

Minimum 4 Years’ experience working in a similar environment as described above

 

Fluency in local language as per the geographical and cultural requirement

English speaking to good standard

 

Certificates required:  Certificates are not mandatory, however the following are desirable: CompTIA A+ , MCP/MCSE – OEM Certification – Knowledge of ITIL and experience of working within an ITIL environment would be beneficial

Type of contract unlimited     

We are looking for a Level 2 Technician to work onsite in Arlon, Belgium for 2 months (backfill). There is also a requirement to travel to Luxembourg on occasion. They are looking to fill the role immediately. Day rate is to be discussed and agreed upon prior engagement.

SCOPE OF WORKS:

Supports remotely users, if needed. 

· Supports new joiners with setup of their equipment (computer, mobile phone, tablet, etc.), properly installed/configured 

· Assists customers with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of computers, peripheral equipment, software, tablets, smartphones, and other electronic devices within established standards and guidelines. 

· Tests/ troubleshoots hardware/software for errors. 

· Contacts end users especially in case of Very Dissatisfied responses, leading to final resolution of the issues they experienced as well as to avoid future reoccurrences of such cases Supports  remote teams, in case of site’s servers/network devices require local intervention. 

· Supports local meetings/conference rooms, updating on weekly basis a report to be issued in SharePoint with status of local meeting rooms.

We are looking for a Level 3 engineer with experience in Linux. 

There is a requirement to be onsite for 5 consecutive days in London to assist a remote team based in India to troubleshoot and get an EMC storage array working. Must have high level of experience with Linux operating systems and be able to communicate to the remote team.

Site: London (exact address TBC)

Daily rate: $625.00 per day

Duration: 5 Consecutive days onsite

The client has had DC built out and various supplier’s installing kit, they now require an independent 3rd party to review and report that kit is correctly installed in racks as per plans, that cables are connected correctly, marked up, neatly routed etc.

Anything not right is noted and reported back to call the supplier back in to fix and then re audit the fixed work.

 

So there is no physical work,  purely audit and reporting on the current installs.
